If you are planning on visiting an online casino for online gambling, you need to be aware of the bonuses that are available. Many of these are not advertised right out in the open. Some of them are codes that need to be found when you click on a link. One you get the codes, you can then get the bonuses. There are bonuses available for all types of online gambling and some of them even add up to free money.

Not all casino bonuses require you to make a deposit in order to obtain a bonus. In some cases, you can get a bonus if you just get a promotional code for the site that has the free bonus code. This will allow you to play at the site for free. This is the best way for you to enjoy your online gambling experience, especially if you are just starting out. You can have all the fun that you want without having to worry about losing your own money when you take advantage of the bonuses. This is like having free money to play at the casino and enjoy yourself.

Many of the online bonuses for gambling are restricted to certain games, like poker. Before you choose the bonuses that you want, you should take a look at those that are available. Take a look at them, read the terms and conditions of the bonuses and also pick one that will work with the games that you want to play as well as at the casino where you want to play. In some cases, the larger bonuses may not be for you if you do not plan on playing the game that they are for. You should make sure that any bonus you do receive when you are playing at an online casino can be used for the game that you want to play.

It is easy to get bonuses and fun as well. You can feel a lot less stress and really get used to the hot online casino action in this way. Most people are a bit hesitant about online gambling the first time they play. This takes the edge off as you are playing with bonus money and not your own. It allows you to really get used to the casino and the games that are included. Even if you are totally new to online gambling and have never been to an online casino, you can use the bonuses to get used to the games and even find some new games that you may have always wanted to try but were not sure how to play. Many casinos have tutorials as well as low stakes games that you can test your luck on when you are playing.

Take a look at the many jackpot city bingo bonuses that are available for those who want to gamble online and choose one that will work for what you are looking for when it comes to your online casino games experience. You naturally want to choose the highest bonus that you can get for the best casino. You also want to take a look at the free money bonuses that will basically allow you to play for free at the casino. Be sure that any of the bonuses that you choose are for the games that you want to play and the wagering that you want to do when you are at an online casino.

Strategy with Kristy: David “Doc” Sands
April 19 2012, Kristy Arnett Related Articles Strategy with Kristy: Jonathan Little Discusses His Poker Strategy Book Strategy with Kristy: Reid Young Discusses Showdown Value Strategy with Kristy: Randal Flowers Discusses Bluffing Preflop Share It Tags Online Poker, Poker Players, Poker Strategy, Poker Tournaments, PokerNews Podcast, PokerNews Strategy, Tournament Strategy, Travel Print David “Doc” Sands is one of the most consistant tournament players on the circuit. In the past six years, he has amassed more than $4.8 million in online and live tournament winnings. His most recent claim to fame is finishing second in the World Poker Tour L.A. Poker Classic this past February for $806,000. Before heading off on a trip full of tournament poker, Sands took some time out to serve as guest on the latest Strategy with Kristy podcast. Here is a snippet from the interview in which Sands answers a listener question: I used to play multi-table tournaments online for a living. Obviously, since Black Friday, I can’t do that anymore. I’ve transitioned to playing live small-to-medium buy-in tournaments and traveling a little bit to do so. Because of the variance in tournaments, I’ve found it very difficult making a living playing live tournaments. How do you deal with the variance that comes with playing live tournaments? Yeah, thats a really good question. I mean, the variance is huge in both online and live poker, but the travel costs associated with traveling make it more difficult to put up with. I think Ive always been meticulous with my bankroll management. I was fortunate to have quite a few big scores early on in my career. I recognized that even though I was a really good player, those scores were also a product of running well in tournaments, so I put quite a bit of money aside. I just made sure that when I had a big score, I didnt go spend it on frivolous things. I put it away for an inevitable downswing going forward. I think the important thing to remember is that when you hit a big score, for a large multiple of your buy-in, it doesnt mean that you now have that money and you should go spend it on something. It basically means that that money has been added to your bankroll. You should incorporate it into your bankroll management techniques. Another good way to help with the variance is just to start playing some cash games. You can really earn a more consistent stream of income playing cash games, and you can also do it locally pretty much anywhere you live so that enables you not to have travel costs. You also have a source of income that mitigates the big swings of tournaments. Podcast Powered By Podbean Tune in every week for new episodes of Strategy with Kristy.

GI Joe Assaults Online Poker, Refrigerated Beer, Noobs
published on 03/18/11 at 7:09 am Angel Valdez is working towards the American dream. By waking up at noon, cracking opening a PBR, and giving online poker a shot full-time. We talk to the recently unemployed McDonalds cashier, now full time poker player and owner of the Online Poker Team (OPT) to see what he is all about. Special interviewer, Street3, makes an appearance to ask a few of his own questions. What is the background on your twitter name, GI Joe Valdez? Big into kids and toys? Was Snake Eyes the coolest Joe? Why not the nickname, El Burro?I was in the Army for 8 years and was pretty crazy. One time one of the older guys said slow your roll gijoe and take it easy and it stuck since then some called me gijoe. After I got out of the Army I created an email with that name. Nothing glorious about it but it has stuck. Now most people that dont know my real name call me Joe. Why did you start the OPT?Other players and I used to be a part of another online poker team but they were jerks when it came time to play. If you lost they were all over you, and put a lot of pressure for you to finish out your allotment. Talked to a couple of other unhappy players and they suggested I start my own. I did and took it from there. I made it a lot of fun to be a part of this team with zero drama and been very lucky so far. Has this endeavor been profitable? The OPT: Yes, when we first started The OPT share were sold at $5 each. Now they are close to $6, and when we started I begged players to join we now have a waiting list and its not as easy to get in.Full time poker pro: Im on day 3 and if I continue min cashing in this fashion I will be broke sooner then 2 weeks. What are your plans if you do not find a job when your bankroll runs out next week?I been lucky to have made a lot of final tables in my online poker career so I paid close attention to all the rail beggars. Noted all their sappy questions and how they get players to ship them money. Its better then standing by the freeway with a sign. I can beg from home. Just open up a final table and go to work. If you were a pro who would you like to sponsor you? Some whale that doesnt care if they lose money. Mike Matusow is probably the biggest candidate. Ive seen him stake some really bad players in the Main event so I figured I cant do any worse. What is the square root of 9?There is a square in 9? Had to Google that. 3 it says. What is your favorite poker game? Cash/tourney? The most you have ever won and lost?Favorite game are Super Turbos MTT, 2nd favorite are Rush games, 3rd are deepstack/double stack MTTs. I dont play cash games at all, but when I have Ive done pretty well. The most I have won in an MTT has been $3300 on Pokerstars, and $2200 several times on Fulltilt. The most Ive lost in an MTT online was $110 and in cash game $77 I think. Live game I spent $125 to play a sat which I won. That gave me $1100 to play a wsopc event. I didnt cash so that sucked. Im a bankroll nit so Noob Was it a good or bad decision, on my part, to allow Street3 into this interview? Explain this. Its always good to let Street3 into any conversation with you. He will make you look good. You could be picking your nose live on TV and no one will notice anything but his big forehead. See attached pic space is available for advertisement on his forehead so he says Check/Call or Bet/Fold? Why?Both.Check/call: when using pot control. If you have top pair and weak kicker or fear other player flopped bigger hand.Bet/fold: is what I use when in agro mode and I use it vs any number of opponents. You get so much information by throwing out a bet. At best they all fold or 1 calls the rest fold, and at worse case scenario they all fold and 1 re-raises you, or they all call. What piece of advice would you give a first time online poker player?Dont get started. QUIT! Turn around and go play checkers. But if he really doesnt like that advice I suggest getting some proper training or a solid coach, read up on the game, have a nice bankroll to back you up, set your priorities, and stick to a routine. Ive seen a lot of players go on tilt in poker but it doesnt stop there. Usually that carries across there other parts of their life and they crash and burn. There are a lot of stories on the news about gamblers robbing some casino, held up another player, or held up a bank or convenience store. If you arent patient in life you will definitely not succeed in poker. While this game skill has 70% of chance the other 30% is lady lucks doing and shes a cold hart bitch. If you arent ready for the losses or cant handle it then dont get started. This game is filled with skilled and solid players, and it takes time for a noob to get there. This game can be a lot of fun just dont let it get you down. Related posts: Online Poker Player Plays His Cards Close To The Vest Black Friday Saves One Players Money & Relationship

CelebPoker Package Winner Achieves Ambition
CelebPoker Package Winner UK CelebPoker player Matthew Tranter took the next step in his poker career by winning a package to the Irish Winter Festival that took place from October 29th 31st, 2011. As a loyal player of CelebPoker, Matt will be aiming for more package wins in our online satellites for land based poker tournaments. We caught up with himto find out a bit more. What do you do (occupation, studies, hobbies etc?)I have been making a living by playing poker for the last couple of years. Prior to this I studied software development. I greatly enjoy skiing, socializing, reading and a wide variety of music; primarily drum & bass and dubstep which I find very helpful as a driving force during long poker sessions. How long have you been playing poker and how did you start?I have been playing poker for 5 years. Poker first caught my attention when some of the better players started to move over from the real time strategy game “Starcraft” that I was playing competitively at the time, they all showed great results and this opened my mind to the advantage of investing my time and dedication into a more profitable venture. Televised poker also added to the appeal to get involved in this exciting game; seeing the pros at the time playing high stakes tournaments for millions of dollars helped fuel my desire to learn and hopefully one day compete with and defeat these great players. Did you use any special strategy to win the tournament?I vary my play style based on the players on my tables at the time. On some tables it is advantageous to play tight (only the best hands) and some loose (many hands), however either way I will try to play those hands aggressively making my opponents make tough decisions whilst giving me information about the strength of their hands. In this tournament I was able to play a loose aggressive style (this means i was playing a lot of hands whilst betting/raising/re-raising rather than calling) and had a very large stack going into the final table.A tight player will make it into the money positions in a tournament more than a loose player, however a loose player will go on the win much bigger prizes more often when they do make the money. Any key moments you remember from tournament? The final table is the most important part of the tournament, with the pay increasing steeply with each extra position gained; here outplaying the other players really matters.I was lucky to have a 2 – 1 chip lead on 2nd place going in to the FT and couldn’t really ask for a better start. The other players were all playing tight against me; trying to avoid me at all costs unless they had a monster hand. This is always a good thing as with nobody trying to contest pots with me I was effectively being given permission to constantly steal chips from the other players allowing me to extend my chip lead significantly… a lot of the pots i won on the FT could have gone to the other player had they tried to play back at me. What do you plan to do with the prize money?I plan to use a lot of the prize money to work my way into a number of large live events. I will be playing the Irish Winter Festival tournament in October and hope that this will be the first of many over the next couple of years. It has been an ambition of mine to expand in to the live poker scene for quite some time now and huge prizes are ready for the taking.I will also re-invest a lot of the money on the Celeb Poker cash/tournament tables in order to continue progressing up through the stakes striving to improve by playing better players and to earn bigger pay days. Advice to other players? You might have to play countless tournaments in order to take a big finish or it could happen on your first one. The important thing is to not let this high level variance affect your play, if you’re not happy with your results so far it does not necessarily mean you’re a bad player as luck is certainly a large factor in poker. Keep a clear head, always be trying to improve your game (there are many resources out there for an aspiring poker player to learn from), put in the hands and the results will follow.

Poker Endurance Record Attempt by Phil Laak
Submitted on Tue, 2010-05-25 10:02 Set your calendar for June 2 as Phil Laak is going to attempt to break the record for playing consecutive hours of poker, which now stands at 78. He’ll be at the Bellagio in Las Vegas trying to break Paul Zimbler’s record for playing poker that was set in 2009. Laak Challenging Others to Play Laak, who is known at The Unabomber due to the way in which he dresses, has sent out a challenge to those via his site, Unabomber Poker, to play him. The event starts at noon on June 2, 2010, and Phil Laak is going with real cash games that start at $10/$20. The Run The Unabomber is looking to run straight through without breaks until the end of the World Series of Poker (WSOP). That will be more than three straight days of poker. How’s he going to do it? Laak has been training. Fried food, ice cream and cheese have been cut out of his diet. He’s planning on being active the day before and getting 10 hours of sleep, waking around 11 am for the noon start. You can Play at this Charity Event Laak is giving half of the cash from the event to Camp Sunshine, which helps kids who are facing the challenges of life changing diseases. Anyone has a chance to play against The Unabomber as he attempts to set the record for consecutive hours of poker playing. Here are three ways to qualify. On May 27, Unabomber Poker will host a $50 buy-in tournament at 6 pm PT. The winner gets to go to Vegas. The buy-in is refunded to everyone after the tournament. For those with a literary bent, you can write a 100- 250-word essay on why you should get the chance to play against the bleary-eyed Unabomber. Submissions should be sent to blog@unabomberpoker.com. Finally, if you play one hand of poker on Laak’s site, you’ll be part of a random drawing for the event. Each of the three winners gets three nights’ free accommodations at the Bellagio. So, if you want to be part of history and take on Phil Laak, get over to Las Vegas as The Unabomber tries to set the new poker playing record on June 2.

Pro Blogs: The Role of Luck in Poker by Alec Torelli
March 12 2012, Alec Torelli Related Articles Pro Blogs: Filtering the Noise — Cash Games or Tournaments by Alec Torelli Pro Blogs: How To Treat Your Customers by Alec Torelli PartyPoker Weekly: Bankroll Booster, Qualify For WPTs, The Big Game and More! Share It Tags Alec Torelli, Player Blogs Print Poker pro Alec Torelli brings us his latest blog on the role of luck in poker. My thoughts on cash games and tournaments. A personal story. The sequal to Filtering the Noise: Cash Games or Tournaments? My Take Tournaments by nature are a more simple form of poker. The short span at which they are deep stacked (several hours of play) is quickly over and soon the play becomes rather rudimentary. Its not to say there isnt skill or that experienced tournament players arent better at picking off spots, but the margins are much smaller, and a lifetime of playing is not enough to realize ones true expectation. It is often said that few can make the transition or be successful at both tournaments and cash games. Thats only half true. The fact is, few tournament players can win at high stakes cash games, whereas all high-stakes cash game players can win at tournaments (not all rectangles are squares, but all squares are rectangles). The Reasons The primary reason better players choose cash games is obvious. There is more money. Others are more obscure. Many poker players prefer to remain anonymous. Being labeled as a professional hinders ones ability to play in the amazing games where politics are involved. Who wants to play with someone who always wins? Some avoid tournaments because for tax purposes. Sweden for example, home of some of the worlds best poker players, enforces a usurious 50 percent tax rate on tournament winnings. Combined with the rising cost of travel and accommodation, its extremely difficult for the tournament poker player to show a long term profit. The Difference Cash games are tougher because the players sit with more money relative to the blinds. The deeper the stacks, the tougher the decisions. This means there is more room for play and more decisions are made on the river. River decisions are where the tough players exploit opponents the most because you always either have 100 percent or 0 percent chance of winning. If you make a mistake, by folding the best hand when the pot is $10,000, it adds up quick. Translation: Far less variance and far less luck. Tournaments Explained Although they may be skilled, when tournament superstars win consistently, they are always benefactors of what Nassim Taleb calls the professional coin flipper. If someone enters a coin flipping contest with 10,000 people, eventually there will be one winner. Surely that man would go on to write a book about how to beat your opponents at flipping coins. But would one really infer that this man is better than you or I? This may be a bit dramatic, because it implies the analogy that a tournament, like coin flipping, requires no skill. While this isnt true, the amount that exists is not enough to warrant many of the results. My Experience Ive been fortunate to have a promising tournament record. With that, Ive received some exposure, sponsors and perhaps undeserved credibility within my industry. As much as I chide some of the aspects of tournaments, there is a ton Ive gained from my experience in them. For that I am grateful. The 16 year old in me still dreams of final tabling a major televised event. Its a sensation that will never get old. Each year as the WSOP approaches, I vow to focus more on cash because thats how I earn my living. But, when I get up in the morning and hear that the $5,000 event has 1,400 players offering a first prize of $1,000,000, sometimes, I cant help myself Im compelled to play.
